A Review of Hentai Koiito Kinenbi
Premise
Around the latter half of 2014, I was still new to the hentai genre as a whole. I had mostly consumed ecchi content up until this time, avoiding hentai in part because I could not understand the appeal of rape, blackmail, netorare, tentacle sex, and so on. Because I was unaware of the potentials the genre held, I simply did not know that the vanilla sub-genre was all that common.That changed once I encountered the series I'm now reviewing. To put it concisely, Koiito Kinenbi has to be the first ever hentai I have thoroughly enjoyed. For someone who could not yet understand the appeal of the more hardcore genres, I could not imagine a series more appropriate for a beginner such as myself.
Firstly, the plot is relatively unique for a vanilla hentai. Koitto Kinenbi, by the way, is based on doujinshi TakayaKi's manga of the same name. The narrative presents us with three sets of stories, one of which spans both episodes. This main story is between Okunaga Kanako, an apartment manager, and the slightly younger Yuuji. In later scenes, Kanako's mother and sister, Yurie and Anna, respectively, join the series of events. Our second story shows the evolving relationship between Himeno and a classmate. Lastly, Aisha and Sasha star in the last feature, one with a Christmas setting at that.
Thoughts
The scenes in Koiito Kinenbi play out sort of as if it is a comedic, romantic slice-of-life. That's really satisfying.Now, the plot is not going to overcome a series such as Clannad After Story, of course, but there is real effort here for a hentai. You'll notice this particularly with the main story because the longer run time allows the relationship between the characters to grow. Even with the emphasis on the exaggerated humor, not everyone suddenly has intercourse with another person without substantial reasoning. I say "not everyone" because this still does happen at some point in all of the stories.
Additionally, reverse netorare does occur. I find it rather intriguing that this potentially was my first introduction to this genre, and ironically, I love it even though I am not all that fond of regular netorare. There are major differences between these flavors of netorare, mainly in the mood, as I stated in my review of Reunion.
Nevertheless, rather making love as part of a nefarious act, it is clear the characters engage in these behaviors out of love and/or humor and satisfying the other person(s) involved. I can overlook its few areas I do not find ideal because of that and give it a 10 out of 10.
Tl;dr: If you like vanilla hentai with a series of stories which have a moderately better than average execution, then you may enjou this.

A Review of Hentai Anime Reunion
Premise
Here's a vanilla hentai I saw recently, and I must say, in spite of the many I've seen, this one has been able to surprise me. There are both positive and negative reasons for this, which I'll get into a little later.Firstly, let's discuss the story of Reunion.
MyAnimeList has a synopsis provided for this, but strangely, it's not all that relevant. Really, the only relevancy is that there is a male protagonist named Yuji whom becomes romantically and sexually involved with woman and then another. Neither of these women appear in the hentai.
I believe these two characters are from the visual novel of the same name. The story involving them was not included for whatever reason.
Instead, the anime treats us to two later characters for the eroge: "rookie teacher" Kirisaki Rei and Toono Mao, the sister's protagonist. If no one saw this coming, the protagonist has sexual relationships with these characters, as well. Rei predominates in the first episode, and Mao does so in the second.
Rei and Yuji's relationship is of the student-teacher archetype. There's nothing inherently unique about that. What is unique is that Reunion shows the audience the criticism such a relationship could garner. Even if the reasoning for this criticism does not completely hold with real-world logic, it is rather sound for a hentai.
Mao is one of the critics of their relationship, but part of her analysis is based on emotion (read as "irrational"). By this, I mean she is a brocon. Mao has no issues with giving an unfavorable view of their partnership only to vie over Rei for her brother's attention mere hours later.
The imouto is quite important to the plot's conclusion. Indeed, I was a little stunned by her role. I'll just leave that as a nice surprise for anyone whom chooses to watch.
Thoughts
Intriguingly, our male protagonist does not speak at all, making this the first non-POV hentai I've seen where this happens. This, I believe is not the most effective decision that the creators should have done, and this is coming from a person whom dislikes arrogant male protagonists. It just makes one wonder how Rei and Mao knew exactly what Yuji wanted in each scenario. That could lead easily into rape. But for entertainment purposes, this would not bother me because I love femdom and reverse rape.
PoRO is the producer for this series. Anyone familiar with the likes of Oni Chichi and Fubuki! Triangle: Miharu After knows what to expect when it comes to animation, backgrounds, music, sound effects, and, of course, character design.
There are a few instances where I thought the art was a little awkward, but the execution was very good overall. Additionally, the execution of the promising story and the characters' decision-making left something to be desired. I give this a 7 out of 10 because overall, this hentai is good. Reunion is one I'll keep in rotation.
